The barons of New York night life treat Fashion Week as if it were their battle royale: a golden moment to unveil their new bars, clubs and restaurants to the island’s captive population of thin-limbed party seekers.
But if the twice-yearly ritual feels familiar this season, it’s not only because of the usual air-kissing swarms of designers and dilettantes. Most of this fall’s prospective hot spots are old spaces with new names and rejiggered themes.
