DESIGNER
Beaufille is fresh off a name change—the label used to be named Chloé Comme Parris, after sisters and designers Chloé and Parris Gordon.
THE SCENE
The
claws were out last night as fans even vied for second row seats.
Purses held people’s places while their owners prowled the room in
search of the best possible vantage point to be seen (and, secondarily,
to see). On the runway, dudes with guitars and drums played the show
soundtrack.
THE COLLECTION
The sisters’
typically androgynous style went more femme this season—spaghetti straps
and one shoulder dresses were everywhere. A tougher edge was still
evident, though, in the metal hardware holding together everything from
long, flowing skirts to high-waisted shorts. Milky-hued jackets had a
pleasingly soft, pebbled texture, and we loved the effortless, summery
feel of a pair of sleeveless rompers.Beaufille cements its cool-girl cred with a grommet-heavy spring 2014 show
